About UsReformed: This adjective explains our perspective. It refers and connects us to the historic, 16th-century Reformation of the Christian church when the church reaffirmed the principles upon which she was founded. Those principles drive our ministry today. They are: Scripture alone: In a world increasingly living without a sense of right and wrong or of any absolute transcendence, we believe there is a place to turn for truth about ourselves, our world, and about God. It's truth from outside, truth that God, Himself, has revealed, contained in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. We believe in the authority of the Bible, so we are committed to the study and application of the Bible to the whole of life. Salvation only by grace through faith in Jesus: The primary teaching of the Bible is not how people can and must be more committed to God, their Creator. Rather, it is the good news about what God has done on behalf of His needy, hurting, disobedient people. The Bible is about the person and work of Jesus, the only Savior of the world (Luke 24:25-27). Jesus alone saves people according to God's plan not because they deserve it, but because God freely and kindly decided to do it. People are a part of this gracious plan and work not because they earn it being good enough, but because they believe the news that is too good to be true, yet is true (Ephesians 2:8-9)! To God's glory alone: Biblical truth transforms our understanding of the world and how we live in it. It's really about God, not us. The purpose of all of life is that God would be known, enjoyed, and glorified (1 Corinthians 10:31). That is the highest good that can take place because God is deserving of such praise and attention. Even our salvation, from which we benefit greatly, serves that purpose (Revelation 5:9-10). When we begin to understand this truth, it gives direction, meaning, and purpose to all of life. Christianity is not just "religion", a Sunday morning exercise, or even something addressing our "spiritual" side. It is truth for all of life (Romans 12:1-2).
